Digital Channels Stacking Switch System (DCSS) is a new innovation in the technology of Satellite and Terrestrial TV System. By using the sophisticated design and powered by high technology equipment, the system is capable of producing superb features which are incapable of being produced by the Normal SMATV System. As we all know, the Analogue Terrestrial TV System will completely stop its service in the first quarter of 2019. Digital TV (DTV) was introduced to take over the Terrestrial TV System in Malaysia. DTV is a far more efficient and flexible transmission system than the current analogue system. It allows broadcasters to offer viewers a range of new and different services. The possible benefits include :

- Sharper and clearer images at a higher resolution.

- Widescreen 16:9 pictures

- Standard definition television (SDTV) and HDTV programmes

- High quality audio and surround sound

- Free ‐ no subscription fees.

- Access to interactive TV services such as online shopping, and video‐on‐demand via an internet connection. These services will be made available in the coming future.
